Company policy

Resource management

Organizational structure & responsibilities

Site and field-crew structures are clearly posted and understood. Visitors know who is responsible for the wellbeing and safety of the crew. All staff are held responsible for their own actions, job boundaries are clear, and line managers carry risk and hazard management. Client supervisors support positive intervention when a hazard would put people, equipment or the environment at serious risk. Staff exposed to hazards receive job descriptions stating responsibility and accountability.

Resources

Resources that benefit HSE performance are managed: PPE, ground protection, fire extinguishers and alarms, linked to permit to work and risk management. Vehicle and driver monitoring follows journey management planning. Personnel and equipment databases and contractor lists are kept current. Staffing is managed so operations run safely. Equipment follows Asset Integrity requirements, customer requirements and the Preventative Maintenance Plan.

Competence & training

Competency is shown through a site-specific matrix covering tasks, hazards, risk levels, required training and skill, candidate level, extra training and review period. Operations keep a competency database and training records. Crews display a training matrix, and competent operators of specialist equipment are listed near the equipment. Training is the primary step to a competent workforce.

Proven ability

Competency includes understanding the Preventative Maintenance Plan and site procedures, available in the major languages spoken on site.

Risk management, equipment integrity and preventive maintenance appear within the Resources and Competence text of the profile rather than as separate sections.

Our team

Being the best means having the best people. The company seeks to attract and retain people who share its principles and focus on quality, excellence and safety, and says it is committed to developing their skills.
